The 2013/14 Open Water Series boasts bigger events and even bigger prizes!

The next series will feature a multitude of rounds held at some of WA's most glorious beaches. At the end of the series, an overall winner will be announced, so the more events you enter, the better your chances will be to claim the open water crown.

The Open Water Series not only offers the pinnacle experience in open water swimming, but there are plenty of other attractions as well. The Celebrity Swim Challenge and the Teams Challenge provide plenty of excitement for competitors and spectators alike.

Multiple Distances

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned Open Water veteran - the Swimming WA Open Water Series is open to everyone. The new distance of 500m will be featured in Round 3,4,7 and 8, and is a great way to get a taste of open water swimming and are also plenty of fun. If you’re up for a challenge, you can take on the 5km and 10km events included in most of the 8 rounds.

Iconic Locations

WA has some of the best beaches in Australia which provide perfect locations for the Swimming WA Open Water Series. The WA coastline hosts series rounds from as far north as Mullaloo, to as far south as Coogee. And if you’re not in the water, you can enjoy the action from the sideline and take part in the fun activities on the beach.

A chance to Qualify

Planning to take on the ultimate challenge and enter the Rottnest Channel Swim? You’ll need to qualify first by completing a sanctioned 10km open water swim at Sorrento on the 28th January. Swimming WA’s Open Water Series provides plenty of opportunities to get your qualification.
