Round 3 - Coogee



Making its return to the Swimming WA Open Water Series calendar, the Coogee event will feature new shorter distances for newcomers looking to get involved in Open Water swimming for the first time.

500m, 1.25km, 2.5km & 5km

Timing Badge & Cap Pickup

Pre-registered competitors - Timimg badge & cap collection will be open between 6:00-7:30am

Late registrations - A limit of up to 20 late registrations will be accepted on the day between 6:00-7:15am

During this process competitors will have their race numbers placed on their arms by our officials.

Note: These times will be strictly adhered to. If you arrive after the respective cut-off times you will not be allowed to race.

This is a water safety issue and is taken very seriously

Water Safety

Swimming WA will have support craft and personnel on the water and on the shore. We thank our partners; Surf Life Saving WA who provide equipment and staff to help us here.

Race Briefing


Event Start Time

The 500m race will start at 7:50am. The earlier start time will allow for champerones entered in the 500m race to complete that event, and return to the start line for the beggining of another race at 8:10am. 


Swimming WA First Time Series Swimmers

First Time Series Swimmers automatically become an Open Water SWA member and gives you a $10 discount for future Swimming WA Open Water rounds.

However, If you are already a registered Swimming WA Member you can't registrer yourself as a first time series swimmer. You automatically go to the Swimming WA Member selection and have the discount provided.

1.25km, 2.5km and 5km - $40

Course Maps



The top three place getters in each age and gender category for each distance will be awarded medallions.

Spot prizes will also be presented throughout the event.
